210 kg of drugs in Wodzisław Śląski: three detained, losses of 10 million złoty
Police dismantled a drug network in Wodzisław County – nearly 210 kg of drugs worth 10 million złoty were seized and three people were detained.

At the end of May, officers from the County Police Headquarters in Wodzisław Śląski detained a 30-year-old resident of the county, at whose premises they found nearly 210 kg of narcotic substances and psychoactive substances, as well as several thousand tablets of various kinds – including large quantities of potency pills. The total value of the seized drugs amounts to approximately 10 million złoty – according to katowice.tvp.pl.
The substances were hidden in several locations: in an apartment occupied by the 30-year-old and in premises rented by him in the Wodzisław county and Rybnik areas. Procedural activities were carried out by Wodzisław officers, supported by criminal investigators from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Katowice and the Rybnik headquarters.
Investigators also seized mobile phones, computer equipment, label printers, scanners with terminals, electronic scales and other items used for drug distribution. All seized tablets, which resembled medicines in original packaging, will be sent for expert analysis.
Distribution via parcel lockers in small towns
Findings from the investigation indicate that contact with customers was conducted via email and internet messaging. Drugs and potency pills were sent using parcel lockers.
In addition to the man, police detained two women – aged 28 and 34 – who participated in drug trafficking. Their task was to send packages with illegal goods and their further distribution.
The perpetrators deliberately selected parcel lockers in small towns, assuming that such locations would have no security cameras. However, it turned out that it was surveillance footage that allowed police to reach the first of the detained persons.
Charges and detention – facing up to 15 years' imprisonment
The detained 30-year-old was charged by prosecutors with possession of a significant quantity of drugs, introducing them into circulation and participation in an organised criminal group. At the prosecutor's request, the District Court in Wodzisław Śląski imposed a three-month custodial remand on him.
The younger of the two detained women was charged with distributing narcotic substances, psychotropic substances and new psychoactive substances as part of an organised criminal group. The 34-year-old was charged with complicity in the same offence. Both women were placed under police supervision.
All three face sentences of up to 15 years' imprisonment. The investigation is being conducted by the District Prosecutor's Office in Wodzisław Śląski.
