Indictment in case of smuggling strategic equipment to Russia submitted to court in Legnica
An indictment has been filed with the Regional Court in Legnica against two men who allegedly transported strategically significant goods to Russia illegally, circumventing applicable EU sanctions.
The accused are Eduard K. and Krzysztof J. The prosecutor has charged them with, among other things, participating in an organised criminal group involved in illegal trade in so-called dual-use products. These goods are of key importance to state security.
Organised crime exploited loopholes in the export control system to deliver embargoed equipment to the Russian Federation. EU sanctions imposed on Russia following the full-scale aggression against Ukraine ban the export of a broad range of technological and industrial products.
