Arrest for journalist after threats against police chief in Piaseczno
The court decided on a three-month remand in custody for Leszek Kraskowski. The journalist will face charges for illegal possession of a firearm and for threats directed at the district police commandant in Piaseczno.
The case caused considerable stir among media representatives. Now investigators have disclosed additional facts concerning the arrest. According to prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba's account, the suspect had announced his arrival with a firearm for the purpose of depriving the officer of his life. He also allegedly threatened to use violence against anyone who would attempt to stop him.
