A brutal assault occurred in the gmina of Krzeszowice. Last Tuesday, before 4 p.m., an 18-year-old resident was walking home from a nearby town. When he was already close to his residence, another young man rushed at him. He struck him on the head, knocked him to the ground, and then continued to beat him, kick him, and wound him with a dangerous object.

The victim cried out for help and resisted the attacker. The shouts were heard by residents of the area, who overpowered the aggressor and provided first aid to the victim. Officers from the Krzeszowice police station arrived at the scene and detained the suspect.

The injured man was taken to hospital with head and body injuries. His condition poses no threat to life. The material gathered by police allowed for charges to be brought. The following day, the perpetrator appeared before a prosecutor, and later before a judge who decided on two months of temporary remand custody.

As the investigation revealed, the reason for the entire incident was long-standing conflicts between the attacker and the victim, which had originated during their time in primary school. This act carries a threat of up to five years imprisonment.
