Off-duty police officer stops drunk motorcyclist with 2.5 per mille blood alcohol
A police officer from Sieniawa, whilst off duty, stopped a 30-year-old man riding a cross-type motorcycle. Testing revealed over 2.5 per mille alcohol. The man had no driving licence and the vehicle was technically unfit.

In Przeworsk, a uniformed officer from the Sieniawa police station, who was just finishing his shift, noticed the dangerous driving of a motorcyclist. The cross rider was driving onto the opposite lane, endangering other road users with a collision.
The officer notified the duty officer at the local station and continued to observe the suspect. When the motorcyclist drove onto the property on Wiejska Street and attempted to flee, the police officer quickly overpowered him.
Officers patrolling the area arrived at the scene. A breathalyser test showed the 30-year-old resident of Gać township had over 2.5 per mille alcohol in his system. It also emerged that the man held no driving permits whatsoever, and his motorcycle was not permitted on the road due to technical defects.
For driving whilst intoxicated, the penal code provides for a prison sentence of up to 3 years and a long-term ban on driving vehicles.
