Radom: drunk driver was transporting a corpse on the back seat
Police arrested a 35-year-old man who was driving a Ford under the influence of 2.5 per mille alcohol. A 43-year-old man's body was found on the rear seat.

Discovery after collision
The incident occurred before 7 p.m. on Energetyków Street in Radom when the Ford driver collided with the rear of a Toyota vehicle. As officers established, a 35-year-old Pole was at the wheel, and an odour of alcohol was detectable from him. A test revealed 2.5 per mille alcohol in his blood. His 33-year-old passenger, sitting in the front, was also intoxicated.
Officers made the most serious discovery on the rear seat of the vehicle — lying there was a 43-year-old resident of Radom who was deceased. Junior Sergeant Piotr Pokorski from Radom police confirmed that the man was showing no signs of life.
Investigation underway
The driver and his passenger were detained and placed in a police cell. The prosecutor's office ordered the securing of the body for an autopsy to establish the exact cause and time of death. According to police, it is not yet known whether the man died before the journey began, nor whether third parties could have contributed to his death. What will be key for the investigation is establishing what happened before the collision and why the body was in the car.
