Four men aged 31–45 have been caught in connection with a series of vehicle thefts in the Skierniewice region. Electronics designed to disable GPS trackers and drugs were found in their homes.

In mid-June, a large-scale operation was conducted against car thieves. Officers from several police commands participated in the action, including those from the capital and specialists in counter-terrorism.
As a result of the operation, four men fell into the hands of investigators. All are residents of the Mazovian Voivodeship and are between 31 and 45 years old. The court decided to remand three of them in custody for the next three months.
Police officers recovered two stolen vehicles – one bearing the logo of a Bavarian manufacturer, the other bearing the logo of a Japanese luxury brand. Two engines and a dozen elements from other cars were also found.
During searches of premises used by the detainees, officers discovered large quantities of drugs. Over 230 grams of white powder stimulating the central nervous system, nearly 280 grams of another psychoactive substance, almost 4 kilograms of dried plant material and over 4 kilograms of unidentified material sent for testing were secured.
The electronic devices discovered proved particularly interesting. They were used to disrupt the operation of satellite transmitters and block mobile communications. Additionally, they allowed for bypassing factory anti-theft security systems installed in modern vehicles.
The criminals operated primarily in the Skierniewice County area. CCTV cameras recorded them committing the crimes. To mislead investigators, they placed registration plates from other, legally registered vehicles on the stolen cars.
