In central Poznań, on Wilczy Młyn Street, a construction crew has made a surprising discovery. During earthmoving works, bone fragments came to light, which were preliminarily identified as human remains.
The incident was reported to police on Saturday evening. Officers arrived at the scene and secured the area. Together with an expert in forensic anthropology and a forensic technique specialist, they conducted an examination.
The prosecutor, who was informed about the entire matter, ordered the securing of the discovered fragments and their transfer to a specialist centre. There, detailed analyses will be carried out, which may shed light on whose skeleton it is, when and under what circumstances the death occurred.
It has not yet been announced whether the area was previously known as a burial site, or whether investigators are dealing with something completely different.
