Break-in at warehouse in Końskie – couple arrested for beer theft
A 28-year-old woman and her 29-year-old partner broke into a storage facility at a supermarket in Końskie and stole several hundred cans of beer. They face up to 10 years' imprisonment.
Burglary and theft in Końskie – two arrested
According to swietokrzyska.policja.gov.pl, on Monday morning a duty officer at the County Police Command in Końskie received a report of a break-in to a storage facility belonging to one of the local retail chains. Several hundred cans of beer and soft drinks were stolen from the premises. The owner estimated the loss at over one thousand zloty.
The case was taken over by detectives from Końskie, who on the same day identified and arrested two suspects – a 28-year-old woman and her 29-year-old partner, both residents of Końskie. During the proceedings, officers discovered several dozen cans of beer from the theft, as well as empty packaging.
A day after their arrest, the couple were informed of charges of property damage and burglary with theft. For the latter offence, the Criminal Code provides for a sentence of up to 10 years' imprisonment.
