Arrests in Kwidzyn: drugs, assault and a series of offences
In recent days, officers from the local police unit in Kwidzyn have carried out a series of arrests of people suspected of committing offences. The operation covered several separate cases.
In the first case, officers arrested a 36-year-old man found in possession of prohibited substances. The seized material was provisionally identified as amphetamine. The man was placed in custody. In a separate operation, a 34-year-old in possession of marijuana was arrested. Investigators are also examining whether the suspect was driving a car after taking intoxicating substances.
In another case, a court decided to remand a 22-year-old resident of Prabuty municipality in custody. The man is suspected of severely assaulting a 56-year-old acquaintance. The incident occurred during a joint drinking session at an establishment where both men were present.
Additionally, a 33-year-old was arrested who committed nine criminal offences within one week. He faces the possibility of up to ten years imprisonment for such an extensive range of offences.
