Suspect caught in flagrante delicto with synthetic drugs and over 5,000 euros in Dâmbovița

According to goldring.ro, officers from the Dâmbovița Organised Crime Fighting Service, together with prosecutors from DIICOT – Dâmbovița Territorial Bureau, have documented the criminal activity of a 51-year-old man from the municipality of Târgoviște, investigated for trafficking in high-risk drugs and illegal operations with psychoactive substances.

The investigation covers the period between the summer of 2023 and October 2026, during which the suspect allegedly procured, possessed and sold synthetic cannabinoids — including MDMB-4en-PINACA, 5F-ABD and MDMB-5-methyl-INACA — in Târgoviște, Găești, Vișina, Picior de Munte, Uliești and Doicești. The price of a sachet was allegedly 20 lei.

Sales took place predominantly at his residence, based on prior telephone conversations with clients. Deliveries were also made to pre-arranged locations, using ride-sharing platforms. To reduce the risk of detection, the suspect carried only the amount necessary for the immediate transaction, keeping the stock in an external annex of the apartment building where he lived.

On 20 October 2026, the man was caught in flagrante delicto immediately after selling multiple doses. Searches carried out at two addresses led to the seizure of approximately 570 grams of plant material, 12 doses prepared for sale, a grinder, over 5,000 euros and 12,000 lei. During the criminal investigation, dozens of doses already sold were made unavailable.

The judge for rights and liberties at Dâmbovița Tribunal ordered the suspect's preventive arrest for 30 days on Wednesday. The operation benefited from the support of Dâmbovița Police Inspectorate and Dâmbovița County Gendarmerie Inspectorate.
