An 18-year-old man was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition following a violent incident involving a dark-coloured pick-up truck in Scarborough. Four people have been arrested.

An 18-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after a violent incident involving a pick-up truck in Scarborough late on Friday night, yorkpress.co.uk reports. He remains in a serious but stable condition.

North Yorkshire Police said initial reports came in at 9.45pm following an altercation at an address on Eden Drive. Around five minutes later, further calls reported a man being struck by a dark-coloured pick-up truck along Seamer Road, near the Lidl store.

Officers subsequently made four arrests in connection with the incident: a 47-year-old man, a 36-year-old man, a 23-year-old man, and a 17-year-old boy. All four remain in custody while enquiries continue.

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward, and is particularly seeking any CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage that may assist the investigation. Those with information are asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting reference number 12260188886.
