Police officers arrived at the location with the descriptions provided by the persons who raised the alarm and with support from the Camera Monitoring Centre. They located the suspect in the vicinity of Avenida Illia and Gobernador Roca.
When conducting the check, officers ascertained that the young man was carrying in his hands a replica firearm of M4 type, black in colour. The item was seized and the young man was taken to the local municipal office at the disposal of the magistrate handling the case.
The procedure was triggered by the alarm raised among residents at the presence of the individual with that item in a public space, a few metres from the Arturo Illia Institute.
