Twenty-year-old student collapses outside school in Tábor and dies; investigators examining the case
A twenty-year-old student died on Monday morning in the car park outside a secondary school building in Tábor shortly before taking his school-leaving examination. The cause of death is not yet known.

Investigators in Tábor are examining the death of a twenty-year-old student who collapsed on Monday morning in the car park outside the Secondary School of Commerce, Services and Trades in Tábor. According to Aktuálně.cz, emergency services called to the scene were unable to help the young man despite their best efforts.
The incident occurred on Monday at half past seven in the morning, before the start of the school-leaving examinations. One of the teachers was in the vicinity and immediately called the emergency services. "One of the teachers was nearby and called for an ambulance, which arrived at the scene within minutes," said Radek Cícha, director of the Secondary School of Commerce, Services and Trades and the Language School with the right to conduct state language examinations.
Emergency responders attempted to resuscitate the young man for tens of minutes, without success. "On Monday morning, a rapid medical aid team from Tábor together with a doctor intervened in the collapse of a young man. Despite all efforts by those who responded, the doctor had to certify death following prolonged resuscitation," said Petra Kafková, spokeswoman for South Bohemian emergency medical services.
According to director Cícha, the student was someone from whom the school expected success in the school-leaving examination and who had no reason to be particularly nervous. "We expected he would succeed in the school-leaving examination as well. This is an enormous tragedy," remarked Cícha.
The cause of death has not yet been established. Lenka Krausová, spokeswoman for the South Bohemian police, confirmed that an investigation had been launched, but the police were unwilling to provide further details. "Investigators in Tábor are examining the death of a young man, which occurred this morning outside one of the schools in the town," Krausová stated briefly.
