A 43-year-old man is to serve 12 years in prison for killing a colleague at a slaughterhouse in Holsted. He has also been permanently expelled from Denmark.
12-year prison sentence confirmed for colleague's knife murder
A 43-year-old man is to continue serving a 12-year sentence for a murder committed at his workplace. The Western Regional Court of Appeal has upheld the District Court's ruling.
The incident took place in the summer of 2024 at Danish Crown's factory in Holsted, where the convicted man killed a 35-year-old male colleague with a knife.
The court has also decided that he is to be deported from the country once his sentence is completed. He is furthermore banned from ever returning to Danish soil.
The deceased's spouse and two children have been awarded 2.5 million kroner in compensation.
