The National Police, in collaboration with Madrid's Municipal Police, shut down on 13 May a drug den located on Paseo de la Florida, in the Moncloa district, according to elmundo.es. Two people were arrested and charged with the sale and distribution of narcotics.
The detainees are a man of Uruguayan nationality born in 1974 and a Spanish woman born in 1982, both with an extensive criminal history for similar offences, according to police sources.
The investigation was launched in February 2025 following multiple complaints from neighbours who alerted authorities to drug sales at the property. Officers observed a high flow of people who remained in the flat for barely a few minutes before leaving.
Armed with a judicial search and entry warrant, police found inside more than 300 euros in cash in small denominations, along with various quantities of hashish, cocaine and 70 tablets. Precision scales, self-sealing bags, wire seals and a notebook with handwritten notes referencing names and quantities were also seized.
Both defendants face charges for offences against public health and have already been placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
