Officers of the armed force detained a man last week who was driving along the M-40 with a significant quantity of drugs concealed in his vehicle. The arrest took place in the municipality of Boadilla del Monte, in the Community of Madrid.

The operation began when a patrol noticed that the man at the wheel was displaying behaviour that aroused the suspicions of the uniformed officers. They ordered him to stop at a location where they could guarantee the safety of the search.

Upon examining the car, the officers found three parcels of similar size in the rear section, in the form of cardboard boxes. Their contents proved to be hashish, with a combined weight of 107 kilogrammes. Details of the intervention were released by ABC.

After seizing the haul, the Guardia Civil arrested the person involved. Proceedings remain open pending the competent court taking the appropriate decisions.
