25-year-old man arrested over assault in Txantrea, Pamplona
A 25-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday in the San Juan neighbourhood in connection with an assault that occurred over the weekend in Txantrea. Pamplona Municipal Police made three additional arrests the same day.
Arrested in San Juan over nocturnal assault in Txantrea
According to diariodenavarra.es, a 25-year-old man was detained on Tuesday 16 June at 15.15 hours in the San Juan neighbourhood by officers of Pamplona Municipal Police. The arrest was made in connection with an assault and battery offence linked to an assault reported over the weekend in the Txantrea neighbourhood. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday to Sunday, around one o'clock in the morning.
The Tuesday saw three additional arrests by the same police force. On one hand, an individual was arrested for assault on authority in connection with an assault on former Pamplona mayor Enrique Maya. On the other hand, two men aged 19 and 21 were arrested in the Milagrosa neighbourhood at 4.30 in the morning, accused respectively of assault on authority and failure to obey a lawful order.
With regard to road safety, Municipal Police recorded four accidents with no injuries during that day. A 51-year-old driver will face administrative sanctions after testing positive for alcohol in a breath test carried out at 18.30 hours in the old town of the Navarrese capital.
