A 16-year-old adolescent has been arrested this Thursday in Bellmunt d'Urgell as the alleged creator of Blocus channels intended to coordinate disturbances and looting in Lleida, according to Antena 3. The Mossos d'Esquadra consider him administrator of the communication channels where instructions for vandal acts were distributed.
The young man faces charges of conspiracy for the commission of public disorder and incitement to commit damage and looting. Investigators found evidence on social networks and messaging applications that linked the Blocus Lleida channels to actions planned for the following Saturday.
The channels provided specific instructions on which businesses to attack, recommended clothing and implements to use, as well as instructions for confrontations with security forces. The investigation remains open, and officers do not rule out further arrests in the coming days.
