Two women arrested in A Coruña for drugging victim and stealing €2,910 through online banking
The Civil Guard arrested two residents of A Coruña for drugging a woman in a hostel and emptying her bank account. The fraud amounted to €2,910.

The Milladoiro Team of the Civil Guard has arrested two residents of A Coruña as alleged perpetrators of a fraud of nearly €3,000 committed against a woman whom they previously drugged in a hostel in the city. According to ABC, the investigation began following a complaint filed in May at the Armed Institute's offices in Boiro.
The victim explained to officers that, after a night out, she contacted a young woman through an internet advert and agreed to meet in a hostel. Already in the room, the suspect offered her a substance whose ingestion caused her, within minutes, a drastic loss of consciousness.
When the victim was in a state of semi-consciousness, a second woman appeared at the location, alerted by the first. The two took advantage of the affected woman's vulnerable situation to seize her mobile phone, access her electronic banking application and carry out several fraudulent transactions totalling €2,910.
After receiving the complaint, the Civil Guard launched an investigation that made it possible to identify, locate and arrest both alleged perpetrators. The Milladoiro team, specialised in the prevention of and response to cybercrime, was responsible for conducting the enquiries until the arrests were concluded.
