Brutal assault at medical clinic in Chaidari: victim left with blackened eye and fractured rib

Attack at Chaidari medical clinic over remark to noisy patient

A man was hospitalised with a blackened eye and a fractured rib in his diaphragm following an assault he suffered at a medical clinic in Chaidari, after making a simple remark to a fellow patient. The incident was reported by Newsbeast.

The victim, who had accompanied his wife to the clinic, asked another man who was speaking loudly on two mobile phones simultaneously to lower his voice or step outside. "I told him, 'Please, could you speak a bit more quietly or go outside to take the call, because you're being disruptive,' and within seconds, he beat me up," the victim stated, speaking on the Mega television programme "Society Hour MEGA".

The assailant attacked with kicks and punches, whilst other patients watched in shock. As soon as police were called, the man disappeared from the clinic.

Second assault on the stairs

The matter did not end there. According to the victim, once police had finished recording the incident and left, the assailant was waiting for him on the building's stairs. "The moment they left and we went down the stairs, he appeared in front of me again. And he lunged at me," he stated characteristically.

His wife and the doctor intervened, preventing worse. The assailant left after threatening the man: "I'll be waiting for you downstairs," he told him. The second assault was the one that led the victim to hospital. The decisive blow was a single, very hard strike to the forehead.

Injuries, complaint and search for assailant

The victim underwent examinations by an ophthalmologist, an ear nose and throat specialist, and a forensic doctor. "I have a blackened eye and a fractured rib in my diaphragm. Tomorrow I'll go to have the drain removed that they've put in my nose for the blood," he stated. He has already filed a complaint at the Chaidari Police Department.

He himself, a businessman in Chaidari, managed to identify details about the assailant through the name given to him by police. "We found out who he is, that he has a shop here, that he is an accountant, that he has two shops here in Chaidari," he emphasised.

The authorities have identified the assailant, who is being sought. According to information that has come to light, the same man had previously attacked another person, who had also filed a complaint.
