Four young people aged 15–17 who had escaped from a detention facility were identified for thefts of a lorry and burglaries at shops in Thessaloniki, Imathia and Kilkis.

Police officers from Chalkidon located four young people aged 15 to 17 who had escaped from a facility where they were being held for previous offences. The young people are suspected of being responsible for multiple thefts that took place over two days.
The authorities established that the four were involved in five incidents. These crimes include the theft of a lorry vehicle, as well as break-ins at four shops. The actions took place on 13–15 May 2026, in areas of Koufalia, Imathia and Kilkis.
During their raids, the perpetrators seized money, goods and other items. After the authorities managed to identify the individuals, a file was opened for forming a criminal group, aggravated theft, vehicle theft and damage to others' property.
