Police were called to a hotel in Kamisiana, Chania, for an incident of domestic violence. A 39-year-old British woman, her 31-year-old partner, and her mother were involved in an assault. The 31-year-old was arrested on the spot.

On Saturday, police and prosecutorial services were mobilised to a hotel unit in Kamisiana, Chania, where British visitors were on holiday. An intense domestic dispute served as the catalyst.
According to what became known, the confrontation started between a 39-year-old woman and her mother. The argument escalated into a physical altercation, with the 31-year-old partner of the injured party also intervening at the scene. As a result, the 39-year-old sustained a head injury.
Police arrived at the scene immediately. The injured party stated to the prosecuting authorities that she did not wish to press charges against the two individuals responsible. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old was taken into custody through the lawful arrest procedure.
Two minors, aged 9 and 3, were also present at the incident.
