Police investigations are underway into the murder of a 25-year-old Turkish national in Exarcheia. The victim had been brought in for questioning twice previously, whilst the scenario of settling of scores is being examined.

A young man was shot dead in Exarcheia, who according to initial information is a Turkish national aged 25. The incident occurred on Saturday evening.

According to ProtoThema, the unfortunate young man had been in Greece since November 2024 and had been brought in for questioning twice by police authorities, once in Volos and once in Athens.

Police are now investigating the possibility that the murder is connected with settling of scores. The victim was known in the area and was accustomed to being out and about with his small dog.

Investigations to identify the perpetrators are continuing at an intensive pace.
