Drama: New statements in femicide case – Psychologists and police superintendents called to give evidence
The investigation into the murder of a woman in Drama is taking a new turn, as the prosecutor has ordered supplementary statements from specialists who had contact with the couple before the crime. At the centre of the inquiry are the psychologist of the 50-year-old perpetrator and the specialist who conducted online sessions with the victim.
According to reports, the couple had begun psychotherapy together, but the woman terminated the treatment early and was referred to a different specialist. This detail may shed light on the dynamics of their relationship and the problems that led to the fatal outcome.
Additionally, the perpetrator had also consulted a psychiatrist, who will be called to give evidence regarding his mental health. At the same time, superintendents of the police services where both spouses worked will also be questioned, as they reportedly knew about the family difficulties – the woman had submitted a request for transfer.
