Investigations into the femicide in Drama are continuing at an intensive pace, as the competent prosecutor has called three individuals for testimony who had professional contact with the couple.
Specifically, the prosecuting authority requested that the psychologist and psychiatrist of the 50-year-old police officer who killed his wife and subsequently committed suicide, as well as the psychologist who had taken on the 45-year-old victim, give statements.
According to information broadcast Friday morning by Mega's "Koinonia Ora MEGA" programme, the couple had initially consulted a joint psychologist. However, after a few sessions, the woman stopped attending and was referred to another specialist, while the husband was directed to a psychiatrist.
Meanwhile, the prosecuting authorities will also summon the chiefs of the police departments where the perpetrator and his wife worked. It is estimated that their superiors were aware of the problems the couple was facing, as the woman had submitted a request for transfer.
In statements to the same programme, the 45-year-old Antigone's psychologist described a manipulative and explosive man. As she stated, the 50-year-old showed no interest in his wife when they were together, but appeared particularly attached when she decided to leave.
The specialist emphasised that she had recommended to the unfortunate woman that she change the locks on the house and inform the authorities about the threats she was receiving. The 45-year-old reportedly had already filed a report with the police and had requested a transfer from her department in order to avoid her husband.
