Criminal gang with 14 robberies and thefts across 4 regions – one arrested in Thessaloniki
Police investigation has uncovered a gang of three Albanians who carried out two armed robberies and dozens of thefts in Chalkidiki, Pella, Larissa and Thessaloniki. A 31-year-old man was arrested and referred to an investigative magistrate.

A police investigation has uncovered a criminal gang that operated across four regions of northern Greece, committing armed robberies and thefts from residences, according to Newsbeast.
Three Albanian nationals, aged 31, 32 and 33, are accused of being members of the gang. The first was arrested by officers from the Polygiros Crime Investigation and Prosecution Department after being spotted driving a stolen vehicle in the Thessaloniki area.
Two armed robberies at shops
According to the police investigation, from 27 May to 12 June 2026, the individuals involved carried out — in different compositions — two armed robberies at shops in Chalkidiki and Pella. They made off with a total of €5,600 and a mobile phone.
Ten thefts from houses and one attempted theft
In addition, the gang is suspected of committing ten thefts and one attempted theft from residences in Chalkidiki, with total proceeds of €5,000, jewellery and other items.
In Larissa, a theft from a house was recorded with proceeds of €26,000. In Thessaloniki, the gang broke into a residence, stealing car keys and subsequently the vehicle itself.
Stolen vehicle returned to owner
The 31-year-old arrested man was spotted driving the stolen car in Thessaloniki. The vehicle was returned to its lawful owner.
The accused was taken before the District Prosecutor of Chalkidiki and referred to appear before an investigative magistrate, as reported by ANA-MPA. Authorities' investigations are continuing to investigate possible involvement of the gang in additional criminal acts.
