New developments have emerged in the case of the disappearance of Stavrula Leventaki, 45, from Chania, Crete. The woman has been missing since 30 May, when she had gone to her parents' house to settle financial matters.
A few hours before she disappeared, she contacted a worker and informed him that she would remain on the premises until 5:30 in the afternoon, but subsequently asked him to arrive earlier as she was about to leave.
Now, according to local media, the man who lived in the house of the 45-year-old and was one of the people who last saw her has himself vanished. Specifically, he went missing on Thursday morning and has not given any signs of life since.
The prosecuting authorities consider this particular man to be the main suspect in the case. All possibilities remain open, whilst investigations continue in order to clarify the fate of the missing woman.
