A young person under the age of 18 has been identified by authorities in Ioannina, accused of trafficking in narcotic substances via post.
According to findings from an investigation conducted by the Drugs Prosecution Department of the region, the minor had sent a parcel containing raw cannabis weighing 175 grammes. The recipient of the parcel was unknown and was located in an area of Epirus.
The suspicious parcel was discovered the previous month in a storage facility of a courier company in Ioannina and was seized by police.
A case file has been formed against the young person, which will be forwarded to the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Court of First Instance in Ioannina. Additionally, the minor's father is facing charges for neglect of supervision of his child.
