On Saturday evening, a man aged approximately 35 was found dead on the steps at the intersection of Kallidromiou and Benaki. The individual was of Arab origin and had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Residents of the area heard gunshots and called the authorities. When police arrived, they found the man had died at the scene. According to findings, he had received two to three shots to the head and face. Five pistol cartridges were found at the location.
The perpetrator had fled before police arrived. Attica Security is conducting an investigation to locate him. According to information, authorities are examining whether the incident is linked to a drugs-related matter, as the area is known for such illegal dealings.
The Kallidromiou steps are a point where people frequently gather, a fact that makes the incident even more concerning for residents.
