Police officers from the Epidavros department have arrested a 24-year-old Greek national in Nafplio, who along with an accomplice defrauded a woman in a village in the Epidavros municipality, obtaining money and jewellery from her.

Police officers from the Argolida Police Directorate proceeded with the arrest of a 24-year-old Greek national in Nafplio, who is accused of fraud committed against a woman in a village in the Epidavros municipality.
According to information from ertnews.gr, the incident occurred on 13 June 2026. The young man, together with another unknown accomplice, approached the victim presenting false credentials. The perpetrators claimed to be accountants and said they had come to settle accounts, under the pretext of inventorying valuables.
In this way they managed to obtain a sum of money from the woman as well as jewellery. The fraud was discovered and the police authorities took immediate action.
The investigation of the case was conducted by police officers from the Epidavros department, in cooperation with the Crime Prevention and Suppression Unit (O.P.K.E.) of Argolida. During the operation, a car was also seized, which had been used as a means to facilitate the illegal acts.
The arrested individual was taken before the competent prosecutor, and investigations continue to locate his second accomplice.
