A foreign national aged 43 was arrested by police officers from the Crime Prevention and Suppression Department in Thessaloniki. Outstanding arrest warrants had been issued against him for robbery and violation of drugs legislation.

A 43-year-old foreign national fell into the hands of police in Thessaloniki, as outstanding warrants from the judicial authorities were pending against him. The arrest operation was carried out by police officers serving in the Crime Prevention and Suppression Department.
According to information that came to light, the man was being sought for two separate offences. On the one hand, an arrest warrant had been issued by the investigating magistrate of the co-capital on the charge of robbery. On the other hand, the Panel of Misdemeanour Judges of Serres had issued a ruling ordering his arrest for violations of the legislation governing narcotic substances.
The arrested man was brought before the competent prosecutor and judicial authorities in order to give his statement.
