Arrest of 54-year-old woman in Thermaikós for minors in unsuitable living conditions
The 54-year-old woman was hosting two children whose 33-year-old mother had entrusted to her care. During the investigation, dangerous conditions for the minors' health were discovered.
Arrest for unsuitable conditions hosting minors in Thermaikós Municipality
A 54-year-old woman was arrested on the afternoon of 8 July in an area of Thermaikós Municipality, according to ERT. The arrest was carried out by police officers from the Crime Prosecution and Investigation Department of Thermaikós.
The arrest followed complaints that led to a lawful search of the 54-year-old woman's home. A municipal social worker from Thermaikós Municipality was present during the investigation.
Two minor children were found living in the house, whose care had been entrusted to the defendant by their 33-year-old mother. Authorities established that the conditions within the residence were unsuitable for the children and that the space contained dangers both for their living conditions and for their health.
