Six arrested in Málaga for stabbing man in city centre
The National Police have arrested six people following a knife attack at the Alameda de Colón in Málaga, where a man was stabbed by a group who were waiting to "settle scores".

A group of six individuals has been taken into custody following a knife attack recorded at the Alameda de Colón, a central avenue in Málaga. The assault took place on Wednesday, around 7.20 in the evening, and left a man injured who has since been discharged from hospital. The victim and one of the arrested individuals had an open legal proceeding stemming from a previous altercation.
According to ABC, the injured man was in the area when he was approached by the group. One of the members attacked him with a knife, delivering several blows unexpectedly.
Following the first impact, the victim attempted to escape by running, but the main attacker pursued him and caught up with him from behind, continuing the assault. One of the wounds was inflicted to the neck area.
The attackers fled in two cars. Officers launched an operation to intercept them. The first vehicle, which was carrying four of those involved, was stopped in the Málaga capital with the help of municipal officers, in the vicinity of the Guadalhorce industrial estate. The second car managed to leave the city, but was intercepted on the A-45 motorway, near Antequera, where its two occupants were arrested.
The six arrested individuals face charges of attempted murder.
