Double murder in Aigio: Prosecution for homicide – Evidence and contradictions from suspect

The 65-year-old Italian accused of the double homicide in Loggo Aigio now faces the most serious charges. The initial prosecution for violation of weapons legislation was converted to premeditated murder perpetrated consecutively following an arrest warrant issued against him.

During questioning, the defendant contradicted himself. He claimed that on the night of the crimes he was sleeping in the living room and heard nothing. He found the victims around 11 in the morning on Tuesday. However, security camera footage established that there were no signs of a break-in or the presence of a third party in the house.

Authorities found freshly washed clothes belonging to the 65-year-old in the yard, along with a towel that bore stains. When asked why he had not put them in the washing machine, he gave no convincing answer. The 26-year-old is alleged to have been killed first with an air rifle and a knife, while his mother was found with more than twenty wounds.
