New details have emerged regarding the horrific case of double homicide in Aigion through forensic examination. The 65-year-old Italian man accused of the deaths of his 54-year-old partner and her 26-year-old son is reported to have murdered the two victims with particular brutality.
According to information from television station Alpha, the forensic pathologist who examined the bodies reached specific conclusions about the sequence of events. Initially, the young man from Olympia was shot in the head at close range. Because the wound was not immediately fatal, the perpetrator stabbed him six additional times to finish him off.
The commotion caused by this drew the attention of his mother. The 54-year-old entered her child's room and physically struggled with the 65-year-old. However, he attacked her with a knife, inflicting more than twenty stab wounds on her. Several of these were found in the area of her neck.
Following the double crime, the accused man apparently attempted to cover his tracks. He washed his underwear and clothes, and did the same inside the residence. When police arrived at the scene, they found him intoxicated and he claimed that he had soiled himself with diarrhoea, which is why he decided to wash himself and immediately clean his clothes.
However, investigations revealed contradictions in his account. Blood stains were found on his shirt, while blood was also found on a blue beach towel that was hanging to dry.
