A week after the massacre at a residence in Aigialia where a 54-year-old woman and her 26-year-old son lost their lives, new information is reshaping the investigation's parameters. A person from the close circle of the victims made revealing statements to Ta Nea, arguing that the 65-year-old foreigner did not act alone.
The witness, who knew the couple well, was categorical: the suspect had carefully prepared his plan. He himself believed that his partner was cheating on him with Olympios. The unfortunate woman's psychological state had deteriorated significantly in the days before the tragic event, yet she did not explain the reason to her relatives.
Several points of the case raise questions. The elderly suspect claims he was sleeping in the living room that night. But how did he not notice any movement in the adjacent room where the murders were committed? Furthermore, police officers established that the flat had been thoroughly scrubbed, yet no cleaning tools were found within the space. The findings lead to the conclusion that someone removed the means used for cleaning.
Despite the fact that the accused had been living in the country for more than fifteen years, his social circle was extremely limited. According to testimony, he associated almost exclusively with one person, who disappeared after the crime. "A friend of the Italian who saw them together every day did not even come to light a candle here," the witness noted.
