Two arrested in Preveza for theft and use of bank cards — €920 recovered
Two suspects were arrested in Preveza following the withdrawal of €1,000 using cards found in a lost rucksack.
Arrests in Preveza for embezzlement and electronic fraud using bank cards
Two individuals were arrested in Preveza on Saturday evening, accused of embezzlement and computer fraud, according to ERT. The case began when a woman reported to the authorities the loss of a rucksack that contained, amongst other items, three bank cards.
A few hours after the report, the owner discovered that withdrawals totalling €1,000 had been made from her accounts. The Department for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes in Preveza identified the two suspects and arrested them under the flagrante delicto procedure.
During searches of the defendants' residences, €920 was found and seized, which was immediately returned to the victim. The arrested individuals were referred to the Magistrate's Court of Preveza.
