A minor who had escaped from a detention facility was found riding a stolen motorcycle in Thessaloniki and was arrested following a collision with another vehicle.

According to skai.gr, in the early hours of Wednesday police located a minor riding a stolen motorcycle in central Thessaloniki while attempting to evade a police check.
The young man, on the verge of adulthood, developed dangerous speed in an attempt to escape. He subsequently collided with another vehicle, abandoned the motorcycle and attempted to flee on foot. Police officers immobilised him and arrested him.
From the preliminary investigation by the Hellenic Police, it emerged that the minor had escaped from a juvenile detention facility where he is held on theft-related charges.
